Project Overview:
I was commissioned to capture a series of photographs for Sitara, a hypnotic techno DJ whose name means Star. The goal was to visually translate the immersive and trance-like essence of his music into striking imagery for his artist portfolio and promotions.
Creative Approach:
Designed the shoot around atmospheric lighting with deep blues, purples, and neon accents to reflect the hypnotic techno vibe.
Used backlighting and silhouettes to symbolize Sitara as a “star” while keeping the focus on mood and mystery.
Experimented with motion blur and long exposure techniques to capture the energy and hypnotic rhythm of his sets.
Incorporated industrial and minimal backdrops for an underground, techno-inspired aesthetic.
Outcome:
The final series showcased Sitara as a magnetic and enigmatic presence, aligning with his sound and artistic identity. The images are being used across his press kit, social media, and promotional materials, helping him connect with audiences visually as well as musically.
